OPERA (MI)

DESCRIPTION

A new-built villa, whose garden had to be composed pretty much from scratch, except for some existing specimens of Tilia Cordata. The distinctive trait of the building is the huge solarium that overlooks the garden and the underlying porch. The principals, a four people family, wish a dehor oriented to recreation, sociality, reading and vegetable gardening.

Our plan considers a central big lawn, a deck zone with detachable awning intended for dining outdoor, a corner equipped with raised beds for vegetables and herbs and even a shade garden under the basswoods, ideal for reading in the fine weather. Some hedges are included on three sides of the area, each packed with different plants depending on its exposure: to the north we see a screen of white flowered Camellia Sasanqua, to the east stand out Eleagnus ebbingei and Ligustrum ovalifolium, while to the south a long row of Ligustrum japonicum ‘Texanum’ run along the fencing. Many climbers are on the list, the most vigorous ones are Wisteria sinensis, who climbs the solarium from the porch, and Rosa banskiae ‘Lutea’ , a very generous vine who has the task of covering the parking slot.
